Im guessing since your here your looking for new curtains and/or blinds, well we can help you and you dont even need to leave the house, we come to you with our samples, we measure, we advise, we send a quotation and we hope we can be of service to you. just fill out the contact form at the bottom of the site and we will contact you, in between here and there are some photos of work we have done.
Since 2006 from our showrooms in Tiptree then Colchester we've been helping people transform their windows into beautiful features of the room, using curtains, blinds, and pelmets, making your ideas a reality, making a house your home, and we hope we can do the same for you, following the pandemic we found our clients preferred home visits to see fabrics where they are going to be used so in 2020 we closed our showroom and now come to you
About Us
I have worked in the textile industry supplying stunning or simple curtains blinds and soft furnishings to both the domestic and commercial sector since 1979 at the curtain house we mainly supply the domestic market. I enjoy meeting a client getting to know you and your ideas, working with you and your budget to achieve the look your after, our curtains and blinds are all handmade for you locally I like to make your experience of buying bespoke curtains enjoyable, not scary and ultimately I want you to say wow, theyre even better than I expected.... then,, we have done our job well.... with a team of hand makers in Essex and Suffolk and access to larger uk workrooms when needed we can cater for pretty much any requirements you may have, covering Essex, Suffok and London border. we look forward to being of service to you.
Measuring service
We offer a free measuring and advice service with our initial consultation including gaining an insight into the style you are looking to create, the budget you want to spend, colour scheme and a look at some fabric ideas that may work for you. With over 30 years in the trade we have solutions for even the most awkward window shape.... and the architects do love to challenge us!!!
what can we offer
We can supply curtain tracks and poles including for bay windows, modern or more traditional wood and metal, Curtains, pelmets, blinds, cushions our fabrics include Sanderson, Prestigious Textiles, Swaffer, and many more, there are few fabric houses that we cant source for you and we are happy to send samples to you along with the loan of our pattern books,If its roller blinds, vertical blinds or shutters we able to offer those as well
Fitting Service
Our fitting service is a chargeable service but once you have taken the time and trouble to choose your bespoke curtains and blinds, items which have been carefully chosen, measured and made for you, either machine sewn or handstitched, with roman blinds always hand stitched and interlined, we do recommend you use our service, the fitters who come to your home will hang and dress your curtains so beautifully, it would be like buying a birthday cake with no candles to not use them, lovely but not quite got the wow factor and we want you to say wow when you see you beautifully dressed window
